Why buy handcrafted custom furniture?

Do you have a special design, size, color, or finish in mind that you can't find at the store?  I make what you want by talking to you to get your ideas then making a sketch for us to discuss and make changes to when necessary.  You can send me a picture of something you've seen but want some changes in the design.

I build your piece out of high quality American hardwoods and top-grade veneered plywoods.  I use the joinery techniques that you find in antique furniture that has held together for hundreds of years.  I also hand finish all pieces with stains, dyes, shellac, oil, or varnishes.  After the appropriate finish is applied and dry, each piece is hand rubbed with a high quality carnuba paste wax.

You are also buying direct from the craftsman so that you are getting full value for your money.  Yes, handcrafted pieces are usually more expensive than similar pieces in stores, but no part of your cost goes to a middle man who adds nothing to the value of your piece of furniture.
